Discover the ‘stranger’ side of Oslo
Looking for unusual things to see and do in Oslo? The latest episode of the Strange Old World podcast has you covered.
This week, some of Oslo’s most unique attractions have been featured on the Strange Old World podcast.
Guest Jason Moore, an American-born Norwegian citizen and host of the top-rated Zero to Travel podcast (10 million+ downloads), selected some of his favorite ‘offbeat’ experiences in his adopted hometown.
Strange Old Oslo
In each episode of the podcast, local city experts are asked to choose a strange thing to see, a strange thing to do, a strange festival, a strange food experience and a strange local myth.
For Oslo, Jason’s selections included the Mini Bottle Gallery and the Russefeiring. He also talked about his first (and probably last) time trying lutefisk, and shone a light on some of the things tourists do that locals find strange.
Beyond Oslo, Jason also picked his favorite day trip from the city – Drøbak. He also shared his love of Norway’s ‘friluftsliv’ philosophy and praised Oslo’s city planners.
